About NootStack

Science-first nootropic intelligence. No hype, no BS.

Our Mission

NootStack exists to bring pharmacology-grade rigor to the world of nootropics and cognitive supplements. Too much of the supplement industry relies on vague marketing claims and pseudoscience. We believe consumers deserve better — clear, honest, verifiable information about what they put in their bodies.

Our Methodology

Every compound in our database is researched using peer-reviewed scientific literature. We source our information from PubMed, Google Scholar, and established pharmacological databases. Each claim is linked to its original source with a DOI for independent verification.

Evidence Standards

Strong Evidence

Multiple randomized controlled trials (RCTs), meta-analyses, or systematic reviews with consistent findings.

Moderate Evidence

Some RCTs with generally positive findings, but limited in number or with some inconsistencies.

Preliminary Evidence

Animal studies, small human trials, or mechanistic evidence that suggests potential but requires further research.

Traditional Use

Historical or traditional use with limited formal research. Common in Ayurvedic or traditional Chinese medicine.

Language

We deliberately use cautious language. You will see phrases like “may support” rather than “will boost,” and “research suggests” rather than “proven to.” This is intentional and reflects our commitment to scientific honesty.
